Busman's

As Speke Hall is now closed on Tuesdays, although the grounds are still open. I decided to venture to one of our neighbouring sites (Rufford Old Hall). Built in the 1530's and a typical early Tudor build. You need a few delightful hours to tour the house, gardens and canal walk. It did help that it was a glorious late summers day. Well worth a visit and as expected the room guides were well informed and only too happy to chat.
