Short Run
I attempted the El Porto Park Run for the first time this morning. A timed 5K run every Saturday at 9.00. There was a nice buzz around the place despite the wet and cold morning. The park wasn't as muddy as last week (I had a nose around with my camera and thought I'd register myself for today. It is managed by volunteers and is free to enter. I managed to clock in at 24 minutes, which was nice considering I haven't been running regularly since early summer. I just need to keep it up so I can steadily beat my PB's on a weekly basis (yipes).
As most runners know, running makes you hungry. Shortbread on the trays it was. Homemade of course. Choc chips, Caramac Drops, Brown Sugar.....
....Yum.
