Speech Day

The annual Speech & Awards day occurred this afternoon. It was first for me and as word has got around that I take photos for fun, I was put on camera duty. Fortunately I took one of the earlier coaches to the Chester race course so that I could get my head around the place looking for a decent spot to shoot from. During this time I took several candid shots of teachers and students (my style) and had the pleasure of listening to the choir practicing, who were composed by Mr S shown in the blip. The event went very well, with some encouraging speeches from the guest, sixth formers and the Head to name but a few. It was a bit manic for me as my flash gun couldn't charge up quick enough for every student's photo, but managed to get a enough. The group shot at the end was fun as (the same) Mr S tried to compose the group in the correct manner and I could help but laugh at some of the sixth formers "fixing their hair" (both boys and girls) just like you see in those shampoo TV adverts. Sadly I had to dash as I had to get to my second job. I would've liked to have hung around a bit more committing myself to taking more candid shots.
