To London

I don't know, maybe, with the benefit of hindsight, starting a business in Kendal was not the wisest thing to do. It's not easy to recruit and we don't have many local clients. On the other hand, the commute is short and lovely, we all seem to be very happy, and, for the most part, it's only me and Steve who need to do the travelling to clients.

Tomorrow morning, I have a meeting at Heathrow, which is scheduled just a tiny bit earlier than I can make it by setting off in the morning, so I travelled down this afternoon. For some reason - maybe the start of the university term - hotel rooms were like hens' teeth but I managed to get a room at good price on High Holborn in the LSE halls of residence.

Once I'd checked in, I popped down to London Bridge for a couple of beers with Tom, back up to Bank for couple more with my brother, and then on to Drummond Street for a curry with Dean. Life is, indeed, what you make it.
