Faith and Silvere

These two gorgeous human beings are 23 and wise beyond their years. When I asked them what they have most in common, they answered in unison, "A sense of humor."  They are friends of Logan, the son of DoingOK, and when they announced they were moving across the continent from New England to Oregon, Logan's mom told them she has a friend in Portland. I have been following her journal for nearly four years and feel a strong connection with her, deepened now by the warmth and delight of this new friendship. They did their research, chose the place they wanted to live, planned the trip here, found jobs, found an apartment, and made the move--all in a manner of months. They give me hope that the young will save the world with their adventurous spirits, their laughter, their ability to see beyond the obvious to the heart of things.
