Peedie and the Fish
Today was the final day of the music festival, ending of course with a grand finale and many of the musicians participated. My two favorites were a trio with Iain MacFarlane, Dermot Byrne, and Ewan Robertson, and a second group led by the wonderful singer songwriter Karine Polwart.
Here is Pede MacNeill, one of the founders and performers of this 10 year old festival raffeling off a large salmon. Great island, great music, great people, great fun!!!
This morning we walked the 5 mile round trip across the low tide strand to the Isle of Oransay, where there is a 14th century priory. Our weather for the 4 days here has been fantastic... and it's Scotland!
We were entertained by some of the musicians on the 2.5 hour ferry ride back to Oban, and a piper played on the upper deck as we left the pier.
Internet not so good. I will post some back blips soon, I hope.
