For Debbi .........

....... but anyone can go "ahhhhhhhh"

As promised, Debbi, this is just for you ..... I know how you love hedgehogs so please meet "Horatio" (notice the connection - Sheldon yesterday - CSI New York" and Horatio today "CSI Miami"??)

Very, very late on Thursday night Horatio was "discovered" by Shadow who proceeded to 'woof' very loudly right in his face - knowing about Debbi's love of the spiny little guys I brought him inside and made him a temporary home in a spare (empty) 4' fish tank we have in the garage - an old towel, a newspaper, some water and a small dish of dog food.

Checking in on Friday morning he had drunk half the water, eaten all the food, shredded the newspaper, dragged the towel the length of the tank and made himself a cosy little nest - tucked into a ball he was fast asleep with his spines gently rising and falling.

Last night changed his water, more food and very early this morning made an 'arena' for him to try and take some blipworthy photos - I have to say he wasn't the most obliging of subjects but I hope you like this one ...... there is another in my blipfolio.

Horatio is now a free hedgehog - hunting earthworms somewhere in the garden.

Sheldon is waving his antennae wildly to say thank you so much for taking him out from under my LED torch and putting him in the spotlight yesterday - and I thank you too.
