Parkway Gate

Usually I am not too keen on Manchester's more modern artchitecture.

These student accommodation blocks are an exception.

They look great in the evening sun. (Yes there was a little sun today - mainly in the evening).

I have tried to "chill my beans"* today, with some success. It was a light hearted and slightly giddy day in the office (that friday feeling).
Did not venture out at lunch in an effort to avoid stress caused by too much rushing about.
Thanks to The Spice Girls**who provided dinner in the form of some weird and wonderful flavoured sausages (better in our bellies than the bin).

There was one phone call of a personal nature that made me so mad I wanted to cry. It left me having to tell #3 boy that his Dad would not be coming to see him tomorrow, again, after forgetting his birthay and not seeing him for over a year. He has got someone else to phone and brake the last FOUR appointments to come and visit.
(What my sister ever saw in that 'man' I do not know)

FIFA 13 was released today.
For those not 'in the know' it is a Football computer game that is VERY popular in our house. (With the boys not me)
We have copies of FIFA 08, 09, 10, 11, 12 and now 13!!
#3 boy went to buy it with his birthday money as soon as school was out.
Will is sleeping over to share the full FIFA experience ;-))
