I have measured my life in coffee spoons...
Or at the very least I could measure out the last two weeks' holidays in breakfasts out, coffee, cakes, lunches and empty wine bottles.
So it was breakfast at The Bungo this morning; we've eaten here at night before but never had breakfast. I can thoroughly recommend it. They have a great map of the local area where the punters mark their houses with wee flags. Great idea, and given that the area is mainly tenements so not too much invasion of privacy. I'm not sure everyone has marked their location correctly though. Unless someone really does live on a boat moored in the Queens Park duck pond. I've had many a lunchtime walk round that pond and only rarely seen a boat and never one big enough for anything bigger than a mouse to live in.
As for the quote that makes today's title; JT had never heard of it, I had to remind myself
via Google that it was TS Elliot but to the best of my knowledge had never heard of the poem, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. As expected, Silvergirl immediately named both when I quoted it to her this afternoon. Some things never change...
