The Bench at Friar's Bridge

Location: Friar's Bridge, Pelsall North Common.

Got the best of the weather first thing, But even in this picture you can see rain in the sky above the cottage.  Within a few moments of taking this shot the first spots were wetting the filter in front of the lens.  less than 10 minutes later the sun had disappeared behind clouds.

Technical: 0.75 Medium graduated Filter to control the sky's exposure.  Even then I took this as a bracketed exposure as I suspected it might need an HDR treatment, but in the end used the centre exposure.  I did process all the images in Lightroom's Photomerge facility to compare with the single exposure but it brightened the foreground too much for my liking.
