Our nuthatches are back

Back on the 9th August, a group of nuthatches descended on our garden and spent about an hour squabbling over the food on our feeders. One of them was the subject of my blip that day. We had not seen them since, until this morning when once again they arrived in a group and spent a while in the garden.

As well as going to the feeder, one of them seemed to be very interested in one of our terracotta pots. Several times it collected pieces of compost from it and carried them away.
