Treats in town
Coffee in the sun this morning with Archie on my lap while JR went to the gym. Then my turn for punishment, and I had good session. I really put a lot of effort into it now. Well, really just in the last minute of every five minutes of a half hour session, though I'm only using up 200 calories, which doesn't seem fair.
I spent quite a while fiddling with the holiday video while JR went to the garden centre. iMovie on the iPad is very intuitive, but it kept doing odd things, and clips kept just disappearing. However, after another session this evening, I've finally got the masterpiece completed. Now to capture an audience and bore the pants off them...
We went into town to check out a new (dog friendly) establishment, Brewhemia. Fab place, with a button on the wall by each table, which, when pressed, caused glasses of prosecco to arrive. It seems that huge tattoos are obligatory for all the staff...
Archie was a big hit - all the staff made a fuss of him, and several customers came over to pat him too. We had chips and prosecco. Nice.
Then we popped along to the Arches, and could not pass my favourite donuteria, where Archie was allowed in too. It's great that there are so many dog friendly places in Edinburgh.
I got the bus home, while JR and Archie had a romp through the Meadows. And who should they meet but Camila, one of his erstwhile borrowers.
My knees are definitely feeling better. And not before time, either.
