Mardale U3A Walk

Led the U3A walk from Mardale today. Starting from the Mardale Head car park we ascended the wonderful Rough Crag ridge all the way to High Street. From there we did a circuit taking in Mardale Ill Bell and Harter Fell before descending via the Gatesgarth track back to the car park. Less wind, more sunshine and higher temperature than forecast so an excellent day all round. All the fells were cloud free and the visibility was amazing - you could almost see all the Lake District's major summits. More pictures in extras.
