I love my coffee machine!
I have received two responses from the two airlines I've had a squabble with.
Jetstar, (although the bad weather was not their fault) immediately sent me two $100 vouchers as a goodwill gesture. I wrote to thank them profusely, but that I would not be able to use them, could I gift them to an Australian friend? They replied that yes, I could do that. How about that for good service and bending rules a little? I will not hear a word against Jetstar!!
Emirates, on the other hand, have emailed another 'final response'. I had sent all the correspondence to the Vice Chairman in Dubai, but it was immediately passed back to the minion who was dealing with me and who gave me the 'final response' ages ago.
I still feel they are wrong, and their attitude in this is most annoying. I will take it to... where? Watchdog? Consumer complaints. I shall be a thorn in their flesh. Not that they'll notice...
That promised form arrived from the International Pensions Centre (IPC). The exact form that I filled in laboriously months ago! I wailed. Internally.
I rang the Pensions folk, asking why I had to fill it in again, when I had already filled it in. I spoke to Jim.
Jim: 'No record of it here. Where did you send it to?'
Me: 'The return envelope was included, so I assume it was the correct address.' *wail. internally*
Jim agreed to kindly email the IPC to say that my NZ details were coming. The IPC would then sort it out. I mentioned that the IPC said they could only 'view' my details.
Jim: 'Yes, that's right, we have to give them permission.'
Me: 'Why the bl**** h*** did you not do this when I sent it in months ago?' I didn't shout down the phone. I merely harumphed. Loudly.
I need another coffee after this stressful morning.
Just as well I have my wee coffee machine!
With added SP.
