The Ride Home

A bit blowy on Sunday for the morning bike ride, and a couple of rain showers. I also didn't want to spend too much time taking photos. I really should get the camera fitted to the bike. I didn't overtake anyone going in the same direction. Everyone I met was on their way back in to Edinburgh.

I headed out though Penicuik, then the moor road t West Linton. As it was still quite early, I carried on south to Mountain Cross and Blyth Bridge. This was my turning point. I head east along the A72, then the B road to Romannobridge. On the A701, I head up through Lamanche to Leadburn, then back in to Penicuik and home. The blip is taken on the road from Leadburin to Penicuik.

In the afternoon, I went down to a local bike shop for the last day of its sale. Not much left, but I did need some dry chain lube, and that was on offer.

I did wander around and take a few more pictures from Bruntsfield Links. I meet my partner for coffee, and then home.

The last two cycling programmes on tonight. The Tour of Britain highlights, which are quite jumpy. The La Vuelta highlights are later, so I have time to iron my shirts and make my lunch for work.

More time for Italian and blipping.
