Ready to fly the big bird A380

All went without a hitch. It's Monday 11th September 06.55 in the morning in Vancouver. A 32 hour day which went with surprising speed.

Arrived at Heathrow early to enjoy the hospitality of the BA lounge, courtesy of Air Miles. Smooth and enjoyable flight with a window seat but without much in the way of views other then clouds except over Greenland where the peaks could be seen through the snow together with glaciers in the valleys. Enjoyed the food and drink and inflight services. These A380s are massive, how do they get in the air and stay there for that length of time?

We seemed to fly in perpetual early evening, chasing the sun westwards, leaving London 50 minutes late at 6.15pm and arriving in Vancouver at 19.25. The extra is the setting sun on the final approach to Vancouver International Airport.

Quickly through passport control, all electronic, but not straightforward and out to get the shuttle bus to the Accent Inn where we are staying for one night before picking up the RV tomorrow.

Had a bit of a sleep on the plane and two lots of sleep at the hotel interspersed with a bit of reading at about 2.00am (10am UK time)
