Gran Fondo Epic Tour '17

Sundays perfect day for a ride...over 1000 of us hit the Halton Hills/Kelso Park area for a glorious day. The ride routes ranged from 175k down to 30k. We had signed up for 80k but all dropped to the 50k for various reasons...mine was the after effects of Louisville lurgy. I am recovered but it set me back 3 weeks in training. The ride was followed by a beer garden, band, BBQ & great afternoon with lots of vendors. I enjoyed the free massage tent. We were extra happy with the jersies this year as they were designed in honour of Canada's 150th birthday and came with name personalization on the back. Unfortunately we had to finish the ride with the infamous 'Gorilla Hill' with a 40 foot inflated gorilla at the bottom. My favorite sign on the incline is 'shut up legs'. Had to dig deep for that one!
