Alfresco
After a dull and very windy day yesterday, the day dawned with the promise of wall to wall sunshine and did not disappoint.
Early morning before the heat arrived we went to the garage to wash and vac the car after our travels and sat outside the services cafe and had a coffee, taking in the sun.
Alan has been updating various things, the TomTom, computer and TV whilst I started sorting out my garden. Only two plants did not survive, one a mint which never lasts the summer through and another old plant, so a huge thanks to my friends for watering them. Wiping the waxy plants with a damp cloth and the hairy ones with a brush. Half done and then to pot on. The cuttings I took in March have really come on, about 70% have survived - so a great result. Now to pot them on!
Tonight we decided to eat outside since there had been little wind today and a lovely balmy evening it has been (still is!).
We had ( blip pic) fresh trout salad followed by steak and stir fried veg and to follow will be having Jelly, peaches, yogurt and flaked almonds. A real kids desert!
Back to the proper camera tomorrow. Loads of photos to download from our trip, which will take some time to sort out!
A lovely end to the weekend.
