A walk on the hills.

David and I took the dogs for a long walk up in the hills above our valley.
I hadn't been on this particular track before, through bush and open land.
The dogs loved it.

View is on the way back down, looking North all the way up to Kaikoura. I could see snow on the Kaikoura ranges way in the distance.

Have been following the news , with the terrible hurricane s in the Caribbean.
One of Davids friends brother and his new wife left here last week to go on a cruise there for their honeymoon!! We haven't heard where they are at the moment. Hope they are safe. And thinking of all the locals too, what an awful time for them.
