FlowerFriday8 My alternative flower

This morning we woke to rain and leaden skies once again: not cheery for anyone but especially disappointing for Mr MC who had a day booked and planned at Lords with The Son and a friend.   Although things looked bad, they did in the end depart on time and have returned rather later than usual as rain did stop play at times and at the end of the day, playing time was extended.
Meanwhile back here there were very few breaks in the rain.  Fortunately daughter #1 was available to help me take Violet to Tumble Tots  and afterwards Violet and I tried out a new venue for us with her TT friend and mummy.  The Crafty Cabin provides drinks and cakes for a toddler and carer, with painting and a play area thrown in for a very reasonable price indeed.  We had great fun and will definitely return.
I did take a few shots in the sodden garden but didn't like them much so today I can only offer the alternative flower, Violet.
