Flood day

What a funny day! Woken by one of the most immense thunder storms I've ever seen. However when it came time to commute, nightmare ensued. With lots of local roads flooded, my wee street became a " bypass" however this led to break downs and congestion as out road too was flooded.

This series shows how funny it was with Mini's going through and Land Rovers giving up! WTF!


This photo is late in the day when the water pumps were clearing the flood. I had a call from my Dad in the morning, he was happy at his triumph at getting through the "lake" when a Range Rover in front of him had turned around. I then had a call about 4 hours later from Dad, he'd lost his number plate? I walked down to the scene of his triumph...and retrieved said plate lol, lucky Dad, not totally triumphant!
