Listen Up!

A couple of the toddlers were interested in listening with my headphones. I'd be surprised if this was their first experience, but they responded like it was something brand new. Mr. L would listen for a few seconds, then push them away, then want to listen again. It was so dear to watch their expressions change from wonder to joy -- and even a little fear -- at the familiar sounds coming to them in such a different way. I wasn't able to get a decent photo of Ms. C, whose eyes got so very wide and then she made her unique sign for "dance" (pointed fingers a la Stayin' Alive).

The playlist? Soundtrack from Wicked, especially Dancing Through Life. I think that's a little sweet potato on L's forehead. Look LARGE at those incredible baby blues.
