The Way of Colour

Broken

14C and cloudy most of the day with odd sunny spells.

Maeve the Deerhound and I are back into the routine of walks after lunch. No need to avoid the heat in the middle of the day now! Most of the fallen tree near the beginning of our walk has been moved off the road. Lots of branches piled up on both sides of the road. Plenty of firewood for anyone local that can cut branches and wants to collect it.

The tide was in today and the sea calm. Most of the rocks were hidden under the surface. There were two people with a collie on the beach, and another person with a small dog in the distance. As Maeve and I walked along to the Fishermen's huts I noticed that there was a rowing boat out at the furthest mooring point. 'Valhalla VI' had gone from the beach and she often moors at the furthest out mooring so she must be back at sea and working.

Maeve and I had a good look round 'Shamara' today and noticed that she is another boat with a roman numeral in her name. She is 'Shamara II'. She is on a trailer next to the blue tractors. Most of her creels and gear have been stacked away in what I call the creel rack, which is at the back of the beach next to where the tractors go up and down. One of the worn edges on her starboard gunwale is today's blip :-)

Later this evening I will most likely have pancakes :-)
