Rushing reeds

I suppose it happens when you are absent for most of August that the weather takes on a decidedly autumnal feel. I don't understand why no one has yet changed the official summer and autumn dates. If British summertime runs between 21 June and 21 September it can't have slipped the attention of meteorologists that warmth is often severely lacking by the end. Shifting the whole thing forward by a month seems sensible. If anyone knows Michael Fish perhaps have a word.
