Glasgow,Nuts and Australia.
John Macadam from Northbank,Glasgow, went to Australia at the age of 28 in 1855. He became a noted scientist there and politician. He was so highly thought of they named a nut tree after him, the Macadamia. Now one of the finest eating nuts in the world, and a huge favourite to grow with Queensland farmers.
