Crescent Moon
A few months ago, I bought the manual focus 300 mm f2.8. On a DX camera with a cropfactor of 1.5 this means you have a 450 mm. If you also use a 1.6 convertor it will finally be a 720 mm prime lens. And that is more than enough to take a sharp picture of the moon very early in the morning. I found a manual to convert the 16a convertor which makes my 300 manual lens an autofocus lens. Keep you posted if this will work.
Try this one Large for the details and craters on the left side of the moon
