Lichen

The Gardening Guys came this morning and between us we got the raspberry bed prepared, the compost bins turned and compost spread on the vege plots. When I say we, I mean I sat on a stool breaking up the raspberry clumps and the guys did the digging, turning  and spreading.

All the raspberry roots were shooting new leaves and when we put the compost on the asparagus bed, there were several spears already up. There are strawberries ripening in the pots too. I love these  signs of spring.

The guys also removed a tree that had died and on one of the branches was this lichen. I retrieved it from the trailer and after they had gone, photographed it for my Blip.
