Helter-skelter

September Challenge Day 26.

Busy day at school today. Got my photo ID, my CRB check is now underway and I emptied crates and filled the new shelves that have just been put up following the refurbishment they had in the summer. Still a little way to go but it's looking pretty good, especially now that things like this wonderful world map wallpaper have gone up. It's the Open Evening tomorrow for children choosing their secondary schools for next year and although I won't be going to that I shall be spending the day helping to get things ready.

I was very excited to meet a lady who's just started her PGCE placement at the school - she's going through the same university I'm applying to, she did her degree with the OU and she's as old as me! It was really terrific to be able to talk to someone who's been through the same procedure I'm about to and with a similar background and circumstances, especially as the time to send off my application is getting very 'near'!

The best thing, though, was that during my travels round the school I kept being asked if I was lost. "I'm with the Geography Department," I kept replying. "We don't get lost."

:-DDD
