Welcome rain
Today the weather was in sharp contrast to the past few. We woke to gentle rain which continued until the evening and there was quite a drop in temperature too, although by this evening it has become much warmer again.
As far as the garden is concerned the rain is more than welcome. During a lull I dashed out to get some drippy shots and couldn't help but notice the number of ripening red berries on the rowan, hollies and hawthorn, a sure sign that Autumn is just round the corner. Here you can see the hawthorn berries looking rather like tiny apples.
In other news, our pensions advisor came to see us today for our annual review and strongly advised us to update our wills: all very sensible and necessary of course, but a reminder that the Autumn years are here for Mr MC and me too. Oh well, they say you're as young as you feel...
