Downtown Homberg

Overnighting in a converted mill house in Homberg (Efze), not be confused with Homberg (Ohm), Google Maps please note! Yet another small town in Hessen attracting tourists to its timber-framed houses but Homberg also has a hilltop tower going for it. Might climb up there tomorrow but suspect not - it's a big hill after all and it looks like being another scorcher.
Had an interesting dish for dinner - pork schnitzel with a smoked salmon layer in it. I ate it but didn't ask for the recipe; it'll go down as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The dark beer on the other hand was excellent and we were sitting outside in the market square, so all in all it was a fine evening.
We'll be sleeping to the sound of rushing water from the mill stream outside our window. S loves it but for me it's a bit too much like pouring rain. And we'll be leaving the bathroom light on!
