Whar Be The White Whale?

We had fun whale watching today, even though we did not find Captain Ahab's Moby Dick!  We did see several white beaked dolphins (the picture of the tail disappearing into the water above is the only animal shot I managed to capture all day!), and also some Minke whales, but I couldn't get a good shot of them.  (It was quite a challenge to hold the camera in my "bad" hand, whilst holding on to the ship with my "good one"!)

It was quite rough out there, and we were glad our boat provided everyone with survival suits, because once we got out of the harbour, it was downright cold!  The poor man sitting on the bench in the survival suit shot was horribly seasick over the rail fairly early on.  I don't think he had any fun at all!   We did not envy the brave souls in the small boat which whizzed around us ... it looked quite uncomfortable to have to stand up, all jammed together like sardines!  The flag is, of course, the Icelandic one, fluttering from our stern.
