Isle of Cumbrae

Grannie & Grandpa are away on their holidays just now. But as we have keys to their house, and it's only a few miles from where we met up with my friend yesterday, we decided to stay over in Beith last night. It did seem a bit strange without them there and we tried really hard to leave it as tidy as we had found it!

We'd brought our bikes with us and today drove to Largs and got the ferry over to the Isle of Cumbrae so we could cycle round it. Last time we cycled round, Ethan was still wee and he sat in a baby seat on the back of hubbies bike. It's about 10 miles round the whole island and we thought Ethan should now be capable of covering that distance under his own steam.

It wasn't the best of weather - we got caught in lots of downpours on our way round and were soaked through. Ethan did really well though and didn't complain at all. I think stopping for an ice cream half way round helped motivate him!

Back on the mainland and we popped in to Nardinis for dinner before driving back home.
