Mad dogs ...
.. and Englishmen go out in the midday sun (Noel Coward, 1931)
We probably should have known better ... a Bank Holiday Monday ( the last one before, dare one say it, Christmas) and amazingly the sun was shining here in Kent, UK. Never the less, we headed south towards the coast. We had a leisurely coffee in a garden centre on the way, before vaguely heading towards Romney Marsh. We hit the Cinque town of Rye around lunchtime - along with seemingly the rest of Kent - and sat in a traffic jam for around 20mins before I managed to turn off.
We were thinking we would never find somewhere to stop, but eventually managed to avoid most of the traffic and ended at at Dungeness for drinks and ice cream. I then went down onto the beach for some shots of the iconic fishing huts and boats which the area is famous for.
The light was very poor, so B&W conversions seemed in order, at which point I recalled it was Mono Monday, and the theme was "Organic" - which surely applies to this decaying wooden hut, and the boat in extras.
