Behind the ranges in the Pentlands

A last walk or so I thought in the Pentlands - at least for a while. I took The Principal to the airport for a 6am flight and then BigT to the station. Last minute things to do and then that walk. That started in dreich and ended in a more traditional wind-driven soaking.

Our forward observation post is now in place in Fiesole and the heavy ground equipment will be moved into place in the next week there being a dearth of early morning slots in the troop movement schedule via the tunnel. And various complications at the concentration point in Oxford.

Now waiting for the final pyrotechnic hurrah of a festival at which we have been absent in our entirety.

Saw a Ragged Robin high on the Pentland moors today. A first for me.
