Kitchen disaster

Oh dear!   Not one of my best efforts at bread making.
And just as I thought I had cracked the nuances of using a new bread making machine, I have managed to bake this, and the chances of it even looking like a loaf when I cut into it are pretty remote.
It’s the size of a brick, half the size I expected it to be, as heavy as a brick to lift, and indications are it will have the texture of a brick, or be a stodgy mass, when cut.

Aah well.  Back to the drawing board and another attempt tomorrow.  Meantime bread will not be on the menu for breakfast on Bank Holiday.
