Morning Break
I took a different route this morning since I was still favoring my knee. I was planning a break at this spot at the top of the ridge of the East Bay hills overlooking Mt Diablo, but this fellow had the same idea. He seemed lost in contemplation so I didn't disturb him, but I did like the zen aura of being in the moment that he projected so I sneaked a shot from the back.
I'm having lunch with my friend the healer today as yesterday was her birthday. We usually hike together on Tuesdays and solve the problems of the world but to celebrate our birthdays, we change the venue to a wonderful Japanese restaurant. I'm sure we'll still find plenty of problems to solve, but since it is her birthday I won't mention my knee. It must be awful to have people wanting to solve their physical problems in a polite social setting.
We are about to go to babysit our youngest grandchildren. Since it is a school night, I'm pretty sure they will be in bed fairly early, but since their parents are going to a concert, it will be way past our bedtime when they return. They'll probably get home to find the baby-sitters asleep on the couch, just like we did when our kids were little....
