On reflection

It was a good day.

On a gloriously sunny August Bank Holiday weekend, Jamie's first volunteer turn on the Talyllyn Railway was as assistant in the control office where he was answering the phone and completing the train graph for the best part of nine hours!  From this smile at the end of the day you can tell he enjoyed himself :-)

As I was not rostered to work today this left me with a free day.  Not difficult to fill, time with my local resident brother - did a bit in his garden, caught up with a few old friends, read a novel .... and snoozed.  Jamie has a couple more booked turns later in the week but he has the option of filling in a couple of extra turns too.  He's keen!

Plenty of hidden extras in today's blip.  For one there was a Land Rover rally at Wharf Station today.
