Pride

The Manchester Pride Parade is always a lively, colourful event. Today's had a theme of "Graduation" - which some followed. But many others just expressed themselves with great energy, not a little passion and highly appropriate pride. Following recent events in Manchester and elsewhere, the police got a great welcome and there was also a political element.

I managed to find an excellent vantage point, on a bend in the route. The daughter of a family next to me was showered with sweets, toys, balloons and badges by the marchers, attracting one priceless envious stare. A joyful day.
