Good weather for ducks

And lots of other birds. The persistent rain today has turned our playing field into a lake, so you were going to get a shot of puddles, but when I got home the bird feeder was fairly buzzing with birds. At one point there were 10 goldfinches hanging off it. The robins were down again, a couple of chaffinches put in an appearance, yet more blackbird chicks looking properly fluffy and put out, and finally the piece de resistance, this lovely nuthatch perched on the gate. I just love it's Adam and the Ants style eye stripe.
Bit fuzzy but taken in low light levels, through the window (not going to sit on the doorstep again) so I hope you'll forgive.
