Evening Light at Buttermere

My oldest friend came to stay today. We met in primary school 55 years ago and have been best friends ever since. And so it was natural to take her to my favourite place in the Lakes... Buttermere. The evening light cast beautiful shadows as we looked across the lake and the shoulder of Mellbreak (right) to the summit of Hencomb (centre).
