Herdwick Lamb

Born this year, the lambs are now nearly as big as their mothers, and quite tubby. Their characteristic black fleeces will start to change colour next year, and slowly but surely they will lose their cute facial markings as they mature. I love Herdwicks. This youngster was interested for just long enough to snap her portrait.... you only have a few seconds before munching grass takes priority!
