No need to panic
This shot really sums up our trip to Spain. They played together a lot, and beach tennis was a real fave. That and cards took up all of their non-swimming, eating and sleeping time I think. The last time we'll see that type of interaction between them on a holiday I think.
A nice relaxing beach day was in contrast to the evening's terrible events in Barcelona, and the atmosphere was different on that last night. We heard about it just before having our last meal (see extra shot for my delicious treat - it was HUGE!)
In the morning I had a HUGE panic attack out of the blue, about 5 mins after getting on the plane home. No idea why, flying doesn't bother me one bit as I used to do it every week in a previous job. Not had one this bad for years, and I couldn't do my established routine of laying down in a dark room: so cramped in an economy seat (I am 6'4") next to some strangers was very far from ideal.
I hid in the toilet for a couple of mins prior to take off and my stomach emptied itself, and the flight attendants sorted me out with some iced water and a cool cloth for my head (bless 'em, they thought it was the anticipation of flying that caused it and seemed so well prepared and used to it!). I then spent the entire flight with my eyes closed and my head resting on the seat in front of me. I think the guys next to me must have thought I was a right weirdo - comes with the territory I suppose.
Had a few more minor ones back at Manchester and on the drive home, but nothing like the one on the plane.
Wiped me out for two days after too, a bizarre recovery state of mind. Been 5 days now, and I think I am back to normal (as I can be).
Need a holiday now ;)
