The End of Italy

The Hotel Idea and the village of Case Nuove really do feel like the end. The hotel was dropped onto the village at some point in the recent past and now takes up two sides of what must have been the village square - the church is still here, and a few houses. The village seems to be in the process of dying and consists mostly of derelict homes and new airport hotels. It feels a bit like being inside a creepy computer game.

Still, we had a pleasant enough drive here, and er, that's about it...
