Summer holiday challenge
A short walk around Mote Park and to the allotment this morning before a trip to Ikea at Lakeside to look for furniture and benches for the studio. Susan's hip continues to improve, it's amazing how much progress she's made since this time last week. We move a little slower than previously and a little more gingerly as she doesn't yet have full confidence in the joint, but every day makes a difference. Thank you all again for your good wishes and kind thoughts.
Ikea was its normal fun, interesting names, interesting displays and always losing the will to live as you get further into their labyrinthic show rooms. The only reward being the cheap refreshments at the end. Tea free to Ikea Family card holders including refills. Our bill for 3 teas and 3 bread rolls (weren't we good?) came to 1.50.
We did make some progress, identifying the workbenches we wanted and the storage solutions, now to measure it all up and see if it works. The visit was rounded off with an unbelievably good journey home at th tail end of the rush hour across the Dartford Crossing
