Started to collect these stone ware pots about 30 years ago. They were quite cheap in those days though somewhat hard to find. Then when they became desirable items for interior decorators the price rocketed - so a Barnard Castle dealer told me. The same dealer was the one who discovered the Middleham Jewel and banked a couple of million pounds!

As I was perpetually skint in those days I only ever acquired three!
