The evenings are getting darker earlier. By 8:30 tonight the light was distinctly fading and the rain pattering down. As I popped out for a walk I turned to look back at the house and saw the warm glow from the kitchen and my little fairy lights sparkling. It looked comforting but also rather autumnal in feel.

A day at work, my lunchtime walk taking its usual circuit around the woods and an evening trying to use up excess courgettes by making soup!
