The eclipse

Not total , but 90% in Victoria BC and 86% in Vancouver BC... We're somewhere between that.. Closer to Vancouver. ( put it on the map) Spectacular clear day, bright sun. Didn't really get prepared properly but did the Cheerios box pinhole and the shape did change from round to partial, but not that moon shape I was expecting. This is exactly 10:21. H. held the box for me. The light was a bit weird, but not dark ( this looks pretty accurate) and no stars and I didn't feel any change in temp. But it was still an event. Have been reading about all the people gathering in crowds. We only saw one sailboat come into our bay right about this time and 2 Kayakers.. Couldn't tell if they had special glasses. We went out in our rowing boat before it was over... Didn't see a soul. When we got back, the circle in the box was round again. Think I'll put the Cheerios back in.

Wish I'd paid more attention to photographing this... The extra shows show the crescent reflection with the iPhone over my shoulder. 10:01. But couldn't appreciate shadows... It's sort of spooky tho...had the Sony on the tripod to try to catch the light but one can barely see any change,
