Smoke On!

We took the girls to Eastbourne Airshow today, the weather was perfect, and we left home about 9.15am to get there before it got too busy.  We arrived at 10am and found a car park near the sea front and even at that time we ended up parking on the roof, as it was almost full.  By the time we walked down the stairs, cars were queuing and couldn't get in, so we really timed it well!

We had a wander on the pier and then went and found a spot on the beach to watch the planes - it was opened by the Red Arrows which I always love to see.  We sat for a couple of hours, and Scarlett and Violet enjoyed playing with the pebbles on the beach, and left about 2pm which was great as we didn't get caught up in any traffic coming home.

The rest of the day has been spent in the garden and the girls played in the paddling pool, although not for long as the water was quite cold.  I made a Sunday roast for dinner, and then flaked out on the sofa - I'm shattered!
