Life In Wales

We went to M&S in Shoreham this morning as Alan needed some new shoes. When we got there we were greeted with row upon row of ladies' sales items, so once Alan was sorted, I had to go and have a look! There was so much, I was spoilt for choice!

Anyway, Alan ended up with his shoes, a pair of trousers for work and a couple of shirts. I got some trousers, a lovely blouse, some cropped trousers and a couple of tee shirts. I got a bargain on the cropped trousers as they had been incorrectly reduced and shouldn't have been in the sale, but of course they had to be sold to me at that price.

Despite the heavy rain and strong winds, we managed to empty the 'palace' this afternoon and Alan laid the laminate floor. He's worked really hard and only finished about 9pm!

With regards to the dilemma of Uncle John's cabinet, I phoned Alan's mum and I said to Alan that the decision was hers. She says that she remembers it in Uncle John & Aunty Vi's living room and those memories will always be there, so her opinion is to paint it and give it a new lease of life.

I've changed my mind on colour though and think it needs to be white! I'll have to take
my paint back and see if I can change it!

Anyway, today's blip is taken through the door of the 'palace' - we bought the little French sign when we were in Yorkshire, it has Fermé/Closed on the other side.
