A few days ago, when the weather was good and I had a run of 'better than average' photos I considered cheating ……… in an official way. Knowing that I was approaching 1500 blips, if I’d back blipped a few photos from before joining, then one of my midweek photos could have been my celebratory one. Instead I decided to go with whatever I got on the day and it turned out to be a very dull one for weather as seems the norm this summer.

A Sunday in the middle of the tourist season .........I needed to keep away from the crowds yet didn’t want to travel too far as there was the possibility of showers. Far Easedale was the destination, just a 4 mile drive north, then a walk up the valley as far as we wanted.

Photos were few and I’ve had a more difficult time choosing the blip than usual. In the end I went with the colour one of a Lakeland stone barn with a sheep guarding the entrance. A mono view looking to Sourmilk Ghyll is in extras.

Thanks to those who still keep viewing, commenting and being generous with stars and hearts. Sorry I haven’t been good at reciprocating recently. I’m spending less time editing photos now and fewer evenings in front of the laptop.  Neither does it worry me any more if I only get two views in four hours!

Blip does still make me get outdoors so I’ll keep plodding on, recording on camera wherever I go. I hope you continue to enjoy my travels, though they seem restricted to the local area at the moment.
